Departing from Brisbane, the Tangalooma Day Cruise with Sunset Cocktail takes you across the bay to Moreton Island, where you can spend the day exploring Tangalooma Island Resort, with your choice of land or water based activity and relax with a cocktail or mocktail in hand. Experience the thrill of sand tobogganing down the dunes, spot local marine life on the Marine Discovery Cruise, snorkel the famous Wrecks or enjoy the ATV quad bike adventure ride.

You won’t want to miss the chance to see our family of wild dolphins as they grace the shores of Tangalooma Island Resort for their nightly feed. Since 1992, the family of wild dolphins have stolen the show at Tangalooma, and from the vantage point of the jetty you can stick around a little longer to witness the arrival of our wild dolphins up close and in their natural habitat. With presentations from our resident marine experts, what better way to cap off a jam packed day of island exploring than by introducing your family...to ours!

We enjoyed the day there. It is a beautiful resort and you will not get bored as there has so many activities you can join. If you have not start to plan your journeys for Brisbane. I am telling you this must go activity in Brisbane.

Great day out on Moreton Island.. hired a 4WD to see the north of the Island(quite expensive for 2 people, but can fit up to 6 people I believe), snorkelled the wrecks(great snorkelling, both at high tide and low tide.. low tide being easier to access and advisable for the less experienced snorkeller.. also, water shoes advised but not essential). Relaxed at the pool before feeding dolphins.. great to be able to see and feed these wild animals up close. Saw a wobbygong and young manta ray at the feeding too. Great day all round.. brought an Esky with food, water and drinks for the day.. make sure to bring sunscreen and all your snorkelling/swimming gear, lots of swimming to be done..
Marine Discovery Cruise

We took the 10am ferry out to Tangalooma. By the time we got there and found the tour hut we only had a short time before our marine discovery cruise.
This was fantastic. Elizabeth and Sam (?) were very informative and entertaining.
We saw the Tangalooma wrecks up close as well as sting rays, green turtles, star fish, dolphins and many varieties of fish. Sadly no dugong though but it was never guaranteed.
The time of the cruise meant we really only had one option for lunch to use our vouchers- the beach cafe. I’ve written a separate review for that.
We attended the dolphin talk and the kookaburra feeding, both enjoyable and informative.
We had some time before the dolphin feeding and as it was quite warm we ended up going and sitting in reception as we were looking for comfy chairs.
When initially researching our options I considered the dolphin feeding. The reviews on trip advisor put me off so we only viewed the feeding. This was definitely the best decision for us we were able to watch the dolphins come in and frolic while waiting for the feeding. I think we had a much better view than if we’d fed the dolphins.
It was a long day but for the most part very enjoyable.
Something that would have improved the day for us would be benches with backs on them along the beachfront path.
Expensive but nice

I booked the dolphin viewing day cruise with the snorkelling. That costed me 150$. There is no public transportation to the wharf so i had to call a taxi which i think is really stupid! At tangalooma i also did the quad bike which was total fun because i was alone with the tour guide. I heard that it is quite annoying if you are doing this in a large group. The snorkelling was nice bc it was my first time but i didn't saw anything special. The desert safari tour was the highlight and really fun! I went 5 times up the hill so i did really enjoyed it :) i just saw the dolphins and didn’t feed them bc it would have cost me more & you are not allowed to touch them bc they are wild - so i thought it wouldn’t be worth the extra money. In total i spend about 380$ but i think it was worth it.
