The Cruise to Lunch will let you spend the day with two popular Brisbane identities; River City Cruises and the Breakfast Creek Hotel. Aboard the boat, the sights will be accompanied by informative commentary about the region as well as a morning tea to satisfy your on board cravings. The morning cruise will last for 45 minutes until you reach your next point of call; the Breakfast Creek Hotel.

The Breakfast Creek Hotel is a popular hotspot for locals and tourists alike and after a short walk from the landing dock, it is where you can enjoy a delicious meal. Plating up a range of dishes such as Rump steak, Parmigianna, fresh Fish and more, it will be hard to leave the Hotel with a rumbling stomach. Passengers are invited to participate exclusively in the private bar, in the
traditional “Spiking of the Keg” at 11.45am and will be treated to a sample of the famous “Beer off the wood” with a bit of a history lesson while enjoying your beer.

Highly Recommend Cruise to lunch.

The cruise was most enjoyable. The scone with jam and cream served for morning tea was delicious and the lunch at the Breakfast Creek Hotel was excellent. I don’t usually eat steak for lunch, but because the hotel was noted for its beef I had it and it was cooked as requested and delicious the baked potato with bacon was excellent also. The whole experience took about three hours and it was well worth the money.

The River City cruise was an enjoyable day out on a hot, sultry summer day. Plenty to see and learn, arrival and departures were admirably punctual, and the commentary informative. The Breakfast Creek hotel is a good destination, but on the day of our visit, they seemed a little under-prepared with their staff in the bar, but everything clicked into gear after a bit of back and forth. On the day of our cruise, the boat was pretty full, and we were unable to sit on the top deck, which would have been our preference to catch the breezes and enjoy an uninterrupted view.
